The Road Map To Sustainable Steemit Growth In The Philippines And Asia, Powered By The Steemit Communty.

Yesterday was filled with testimonies. I call it testimonies because the day was filled with physical pains, ups & downs etc but then something happened. I notice that i was delegated a substantial amount of steem power by @ned as well as hint into its use.

It is a beauty to know that we can have a bit more impact in helping with steemit growth in developing nations. In my post from yesterday, i reiterated on how it is possible to accomplish this solely on the power of the steemit community and on low budgets and we intend to play this out.

My approach for improving steemit growth in the Philippines will follow in the path of @andrarchy and @zurvanic and will involve community and a ton of creativity.

Last post, i spoke of steemit events on a budget and yes these things are very possible but that alone isn't sufficient, especially in developing nations.

You have to be there at this events, let your very presence fill the room and empower these people; love and hope in your very voice.

"Developing nations and steemit" are a perfect match you would say but i tell you, that is not where the real job is. "To be truly long-termly effective, you have to understand these nations, its people etc

On my third month in the Philippines, i was able to write a book that broke down the Filipino people from each person, down to its government. The first place i took excerpts of my book to, was to an American, the CEO of a company in the Philippines and i was telling him about my book's content, he told me something:

Terry, the first thing i was given when i got to the Philippines to head my company, was a book written 300 years ago about Filipinos and all you told me about your book, is the same things as i read in that old book. There were no drastic changes.

One thing is obvious, you will have had to pay rapt attention to Filipinos, their culture etc to be really effective in making steemit mainstream here.

For developing nations in general, you have to highlight steemit as something way more than a place to earn. A typical internet user from developing countries, is afraid to try new things especially on the internet. Infact our expectations from the internet is way different from that, of internet users in developed nations.

I tell you many of us have tried things, from the promise of google adsense, to surveys, affiliate commissions, etc and these have never worked. Ofcourse, we have spent years looking for ways out and have participated in other centralized platforms that share revenue and most have resulted in hyped hope but eventually, crushed hopes as several of these platforms have crumbled.

At the last steemit meetup in Manila, @antonette had asked:

How are we sure that steemit won't crumble

Then we had to abate her fears by explain the decentralized nature of steemit!

For starters, we will focus on bringing about steemit growth in the Philippines where i live. We will play a bit, in our methods and we'll brainstorm ways to make this effective success.

In the last meetup "@steemgigs" had presence and we were able to spot talents, even among our Filipino steemians.

We have to bring them to life and put all this expertise to use and try to support their creation. We came across developers who have ideas for apps that has aims at making steemit mainstream in the Philippines and we will see what support can reach them.

Within this period which the delegation holds sway and for how long it lasts, the primary aim in the coming days will focus on enabling steemit growth in the Philippines by means of strategic partnership with Philippine enterprises, be it individuals, organizations, talents, brands etc

Apart from this additional arsenal in the form of steem power, we have other resources to help us, e.g the "steemgigs community", the steemgigs witness, the cloh76.witness, @steemph and all other Philippines-initiatives and Philippine-based steemians, that we come across that are proven and effective.

We will also be looking out for Filipinos in other nooks & crannies of the Philippines, to see how we can initiate successful budget steemit events & sign ups in those locations.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter status, whale, minnow or dolphin as we tend to look past that and spot potential and love for human among other things. We will do well to curate beyond just content as other factors will definitely play a role.

Value transcends were beyond steemit posts!

Currently, we have seen and appreciated the work of @jassennessaj and @themanualbot in Cebu, Philippines, who are consistently working to bring steemit, throughout their University.

Their first orientation program got 12 sign ups and was carried out, all on a low budget and they are expanding in reach, during the second meetup.

We contacted @jassennessaj and already had a voice call, to help fortify their team with more steemit knowledge and especially effective approach for making sure each of the attendees at these events are signed up on steemit.

The upcoming orientation is this Friday, with an expected attendance of 50 college students mostly in the field of engineering.

A key to success here, is seamless successful sign up and we will accomplish this by having them wait in a chat group for steemit speed-up, while we wait for their steemit accounts get approved.

During this time, we will work with them on ideas for creating their introductory post and content creation. We would love to see them attain more personal growth by means of steemit. We want to see them play out some of their education here as well, perhaps partnering up with @steemiteducation etc.

Learning is Earning

For the Philippines, it is very possible to have successful steemit events and sign ups, even on a low budget and we want to be testimonies to this.

We can accomplish successful meetups, to the right audience without too many props. What matters most is solid steemit presence and we can have an audience, ex-coworkers, co-workers etc gather over a steemit-sponsored meal and have them all join us here on steemit.

We already have a long list of users who love to help and the #steemgigs community on hand as well!

Tomorrow, @steemph which i am part of, will have presence in a Red Cross Charity event here in Manila:

There is no loss in going there to play a role in donations, attributed to steemit, while attempting to get them to join steemit. So let's go and fill the event with our presence and see how far we reach.

All forms of support, advice is valued.

If you with like to learn more about steemit, i can teach you. Nation is not a requirement, human is! You can reach me on the steemgigs community on Discord

In general, we want to bring ideas to life, thus, feel free to contact us on Idea Factory, with your ideas and we will brainstorm ways to bring them to life!
