Welcoming new Steemians and why we should be all doing it!

Steemit is such an amazing platform that has created a huge global community. Bringing together so many different people from all over the world, from all different walks of life. It is a true representative of the great diversity we have on this great planet. I continue to learn so much from everyone's blogs and to be truly inspired.

It is so important to continue to promote Steemit, to continue to bring people to this Platform. We have this amazing opportunity to connect and learn from one another, to share our experiences and our skills and help one another to become stronger and more productive, here on Steemit and in our lives.

Coming on to steemit we are all such little fish in this huge ocean, I still am a little fish to be honest. This is why I am doing this post and will continue to do so weekly. I have been actively seeking out new members that I feel will add to the great diversity already on here. I look on the #introduceyourself regularly and resteem new members. I know other steemians have been doing the same and I fully support what they do. At this stage I think that a resteem is sometimes more beneficial than an upvote unless you have big voting power. I do upvote but at the moment it is only worth 3 cent.

So here are the people I have resteemed this week, please check them out and give them your support. But even better, get out there and help some other newbies feel welcome.

@thebboywannabedj

Hello everyone, my name is Hugo aka TheBboyWannaBeDj and I'm a newbie.
I am a Bboy (break boy), in other words, I break dance. Through dance I've learned to listen, feel, surrender to sound and travel in it. Combining these elements music became an addiction, so I started to collect records, produce my own music and then I became a DJ.

Through my record collection, I'll be sharing with you the rhythms that moves me, hoping to discover more and more sounds.

Thank you for having me!

@herbalfaerie

Hello Steem Community

My name is Charlie, I am a 20-year-old student from London, UK. I am currently studying Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy at The College of Naturopathic Medicine. I have been studying for two and a half years and I'm very driven to share the benefits of herbal medicine and living a healthy lifestyle with you. This is one of the main reasons I was drawn to steem, as it's a wonderful platform where I can share pieces detailing the information I am learning.
I'd love to create a community of people who are passionate about the healing power that mother nature has to offer. I hope to provide educational posts on the topic of herbalism, like a modern-day version of the great botanist and astrologer Nicholas Culpepper, who believed that herbal medicine is a skill to be shared with everyone. Become your own doctor and take your health into your own hands!

@celestialcow

Hi Steemit i'm Celestial Cow, fully plant powered, food anarchist and diet revolutionist. EXCITED TO BE HERE....! 🕉️ 🌱 ☮️
I am 30 years old, my attitude was always to live everyday as your last, I have been quite a restless person most of my life never committing to a career, spending all my money traveling the world solo.

Experiencing all kinds of cultures, learning from people and seeing different perspectives on life has taught me so much, but the shocking reality is we live in a world in crisis. How can people still be starving, malnourished, no access to running water or a proper toilet? How can this still be happening when there is enough in the world to feed everyone?!

@vvanamaria

With my courage and my inner strength clenched between my teeth, I set off to Spain with a 60L backpack in search for a different path, one that would change my life forever. Over a year a go I was in Montreal, Canada, scrolling online courses of permaculture around the world when I suddenly stumbled upon one given in Orgiva, Spain. After having lived 20 years in Canada, I was ready to leave and move to a new country. By some magical, almost improbable occurrence, the town of Orgiva drew me closer.

@daughterwolf

So who is Daughter Wolf?

It has taken me a few days to write my first post, continually answering the question: "Who is Daughter Wolf?" and continually deleting what I had written. Staring at the blank screen, not knowing quite what to say. Perhaps the answer is then- I don't know. I don't quite know who I am, or what I am good at. But I DO know what I love. I love my husband and daughters, I love being a homemaker, I love moving my body and my mind. I love feeling nature, making music, and laughing with friends.

So lets continue to show our support to Steemit and to one another and help this great platform grow and turn into something that has the potential to bring about change.

Be active and be part of the change you want to see.

I am part of the #ecotrain, if you wish to read great content and be inspired please check it out. It is one train that is full of very diverse and creative passengers. And we all know that diversity is the spice of life.
