Cycling California, Road biking South San Jose plus a little crypto

Hello all, this is my road bike ride this afternoon, 27 miles and 600 feet of climbing. It was cool at 58* f and pretty windy, going up a 3% grade with 25 mph headwind gusts is not easy...

GPS data is from a Garmin Vivoactive HR, Wahoo fitness HRM uploaded to Strava. Bike is a Giant TCR Advanced SL.

I can say that visibility was very clear with all of the wind, nice a crisp.

The landscape/foothills are nice and green

Only a cycling 'gear-head' nerd would like this shot, the gearing on the bike has 52/34 chainrings and a 11-28 cassette.

Onto crypto! I started 'staking' the Komodo coin. The wallet is a little similar to the Neon wallet for Neo. There is more functionality with the Komodo wallet, but I am just using it for staking at this time.

All you do is download the wallet, transfer your coins and leave it running on a PC 24/7. You can see the 'Interest Earned' go up every few minutes or so. The more coins you have, the larger you stake and gain interest. (Or more Komodo coins)

With banks giving you 1% interest in your savings account, I think it is better to earn crypto interest as the gains are significantly better, especially if you think the crypto market will continue to appreciate for the next few years.

There are quite a of Proof of Stake (POS) coins out there and each one has different percentage returns. Some people run a masternode which typically requires a certain amount of coins, like 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 or more. This can get really expensive quite fast.
A Dash node is 1,000 coins and at the rate of $700 UDS's, that is $700,000 that is needed to start and run a masternode. Not too many people have that kind of cash to invest into cryptos...

So if your interested in producing passive income (earning $$$ while sleeping), you may want to do some research into POS coins. You may also want to read up on the technology vs Proof of Work (Bitcoin)
