Hi everyone. This is my first post here at Steemit, and this seems like a fun contest. Here is my contribution to the glamour/fashion challenge II. Hope you like it.
This photo was shot using my homemade wet plate collodion camera. This is image was shot on a 5"x7" aluminum plate (Tintype). Exposure time is 12 seconds
The wet plate collodion process was invented in 1851, and is one of the first photographic processes. Photos can be made on glass plates or metal plates. Plates are sensetized in a silver bath for about 3-4 minutes, and ISO is around 0.75-1. This shot was taken in studio with very strong light. In good day light outdoor, I can get an exposure time around 5-6 seconds at best.
The model and I made a crown of autumn leaves and a metal string.
