"SteemitPhotoChallenge Entry" #9

The following pictures have all been taken using my very first photo camera, a Canon PowerShot SX60 HS, on 3 different occasions:

"QUICKENING"
During the second of 2 visits from my mother on the island where I live, I was called to witness a breathtaking sunset that seemed to keep on setting down faster and faster. As I raced to the point where I wanted to go to capture this picture, I witnessed multiple photo opportunities and tried my "luck" with a few shots here and there, but this angle and final result stopped me on my path once and for all.

"STILLNESS"
Heading out to work, on the misty islands of Haida Gwaii, I left home in a thick fog and, as I was reaching the edge of the eastern side of the island, where Skidegate village is found, the fog started to dissipate and this image came into view. The sea is so rarely still out there and one would rarely dare to go fishing in a row boat. the view was idyllic on that morning and thought I could try to take a decent shot of this fisherman when, out of the blue a gull came gliding through the field of focus. "Speeding Bees"

Last spring, I was taking a walk on beach, between Tlell and Queen Charlotte village, nearby the famous St. Mary's Spring where, as the legend says, one may drink if one wants to return to Haida Gwaii. As I was returning to my vehicle, I followed the road and came across this speed sign where a bunch of bees were congregating. The bright yellow sign seemed to be invariably attracting them and the irony the situation lead me to taking this picture which to this day, brings a very easy smile to my face, for some reason...
