Here's my second entry to the #steemitphotochallenge hands theme. This photo was taken in the middle of a freezing cold blizzard in Goshin, NY. The model is my friend Vanessa, and amazingly talented illustrator, photographer and model. The concept was her own. She wanted to be lost in the middle of a snowy landscape, covered in thick, black ink or tar. We used acrylic paint, and I've loved these images ever since. There's an entire set of photos that accompany this shot of her hands. I'll have to do an entire Steemit post in the near future with all of them.
I'll never forget how cold we both were. We were only able to shoot for 5 minutes before we had to run back down through a field with 2' of snow just to keep from getting frostbite. Fun times! Big things to @jamtaylor and everything involved in hosting the #steemitphotochallenge!
