New York City's "Oculus" Photography (black & white) - SteemitPhotoChallenge Entry

The Transportation Hub is marvel of engineering. It’s form of interlocking steel rafters span 150’ in the air, and were designed to resemble a bird taking flight. The contemporary and dynamic structure evokes a sense of strength, while the white marble that covers this place gives it a sense of peace and protection. The "Hub" connects an estimated 100,000 commuters daily between New York and New Jersey. The building was designed by the Spanish Architect, Santiago Calatrava.

On Friday, I walked over to the "Oculus" the central portion of the Hub now open to the public. I took several long exposure shots, but loved the way that this particular image captured the silhouettes of commuters weaving in and around those standing still.
