Although her fledglings have fled the nest, Mama still makes a big fat Lemon & Herb Roast Chicken on a Sunday; of course it's way too much for just the three of them; Papa, Mama & Granny Bear!
She sometimes uses the leftovers to make a hearty Chicken & Veg Soup or a delectable Chicken Pie, but decided to use it for Steemit Sandwich Contest Week #49 instead.
She also had delicious Sour Cream & Chives Potato Bake leftovers, and rich Chicken gravy, so why not add that to her sandwich; almost like having Sunday lunch all over again!
Mama used her favourite Sesame Seed roll as the base; added Crispy curly young Lettuce from her garden, sweet young Carrot slivers, sweet & sour Gherkins and a delicious piquant Balsamic & Onion dipping sauce.
Ingredients required:
- Sesame Seed Breadroll
- Leftover Lemon & Herb Roast Chicken - re-heated
- Leftover creamy Sour Cream & Chives Potato Bake - re-heated
- Young Curly Lettuce
- Sweet & Sour Gherkins
- Raw young Carrot Slivers
- Balsamic & Onion dipping sauce
Mama's leftover Roast Chicken, gravy & Potato Bake
Halve Breadroll, butter and place a layer of young curly Lettuce leaves inside.
Top with Potato Bake.
Next on the menu is Lemon & Herb Roast Chicken.
Top with sweet & sour Gherkins, Carrot slivers rolled up & garnished with Balsamic & Onion dipping sauce and edible SSC letters.
