Hello beautiful Steem peeps! Here is my entry for this week's Steemit Talent Contest: a soft, sad song called Bleedthrough:

Bleedthrough

Is it that if you break too many times
You just stop working at all?
And is it that if you feel it all too strong for too long
You just stop feeling at all?

And what do you do when it all comes down?
You walk around haunting yourself another ghost
For this crowded town where it all comes down
To dreams gone up in smoke
Did you think you'd go so numb?
Weren't you the one who picked at every scab just to watch the blood run?

Is it the rose you love or is it the thorn
The thorn that draws the blood?
Is it the pain
The finger to the tongue
The iron taste of love
the electric flood?

And what do you do when it all comes down?
You walk around haunting yourself another ghost
For this crowded town where it all comes down
To dreams gone up in smoke

(euphemism alert) "eventful" week. Right now I'm so grateful and happy to be alive and sitting here entering another submission in the weekly Steemit Talent Contest.

Coming back to this one after the craziness of the week was kind of comforting. I was surprised to find out how much I already had done, and it wasn't too hard to find a mix that brings out the sweetness of the harmonies, at least on my equipment (boundless thanks to my ancient little-macbook-that-could for hanging in there with me!)!
