A Chat With A Top Steem Dev (Steem Monitor, eSTEEM)…….. Steemians Speak - Favorite Part of 2017 RoadMap....... This Week On Steemit……..SteemMag – Steemit’s Weekend Digest #23 p.2

SteemMag: What are your favorite moments since you developed the eSteem mobile app?

@good-karma:
Getting feedback after each release are my favorite moments, because that shows that users care about the app and want to improve it. Of course, Oslo hackathon and SteemFest was great also to meet fellow developers and a community of wonderful people.

SM: What inspired you to start the SteemPoll? And how has been the reception so far?

@good-karma:
As we grow in numbers, utilizing everyone's opinion and getting to a consensus on certain decision is crucial. And I have been thinking to implement dapp for exact same reason. SteemPoll is finally here with its initial version. So far feedback is very positive and some suggestions to improve protocol were offered by senior developers. Already working on improvements. Steem is so powerful that majority haven't realized it yet. We will probably brand SteemPoll with logo and name with next major release. So if you want to see how it works visit http://steempoll.net, create poll, participate on polls.

SM: What's your perspective on some Steemians' opinion that alternative user interfaces for Steem aint necessary?

@good-karma:
The more the merrier! Each alternative app brings more awareness about the Steem Blockchain/Platform. Steem is like Android operating system, Steemit is like Samsung phones, some people use Samsung devices, some people use HTC and some use Sony or Google but underneath of all that Steem Platform that will grow.

SM: As a Steem developer, how would you rate the 2017 roadmap released by Steemit Inc?

@good-karma:
Overall milestones are very reasonable set and prioritized. I believe collaboration is the key to move efficiently and in faster phases. I see increase of that already. On-boarding or attracting more developer to the platform brings more value and growth because ultimately there is so much you can do with Steem but not alone.

SM: What's the future of app development on the Steem Blockchain?

@good-karma:
Very positive and we have brilliant minds who are working on tools and services. And of course, I will do my fair share of contribution by bringing services/tools and dapps with collaboration.

🙂

Thanks so much @good-karma for having a chat with SteemMag.

Steemians Talk – Your Favorite Part of the 2017 Roadmap?

@heiditravels:
I'm most excited about the new steemit mobile apps, I think that will go a long way in helping to further solidify the future of Steemit. Since most people use their phones for their daily escape.

It will also make it easier for me to tell who I meet about Steemit and I can show them all the cool apps and things that are created on the platform.

That, and along with simplifying how to add photos in a post will be one less thing to discourage new users from creating cool posts that they are proud of.

@kingscrown:
I like the community aspect that’s incoming and self-tag moderation in future. This will be able to bring in more people who will be able to post stuff they like with friends or people to keep their tags 100% posting what they wanted into them. Currently anybody can post to any tag, sure we have the steemcleaners but the self-tag owning and moderation will be good. Commmunity aspect will raise then too.
