10,000 Steem!
Now that tournaments are live and tested it's time to push up it up to the next level. We've populated two weeks of tournaments with 10,000 steem! We're determined to keep the prizes rolling so you're sure to see thousands of dollars every month keep piling up.
But wait! There's more! Third-Party Sponsorship!
Now that this first one has been completed and we've successfully played through it, we will soon open up the opportunity for anyone to create their own tournament! Not only will Steem Monsters sponsor events, but already we are hearing how many businesses are interested in getting tournaments up and running. They bring money, products, tokens, and even physical goods all with the hope of getting your attention!
Tournaments can also be used as a fund raising mechanism. Create a tournament with entry fees and use part of the proceeds as prizes and the rest to fund a project a cause!
We're working on adding a prize pool counter to the main site soon. Just enjoy watching it rise up like the US debt clock!
Entry Fees
The larger Steem Monsters sponsored tournaments will have entry fees. The idea is to encourage only serious players to join. The entry fees will be quite small in comparison to the prize pools, and all entry fees will be used to put back into the tournament prize pools in the future.
We will also make sure to have a variety of free-roll tournaments as well, but likely with smaller prizes.
