We are slowly building our Steemit-Davao community and our discord channel has seen more activities these days. The usual question is if there are any activities they can join. Think it's time to personally meet and mingle with Steemians in Davao City? Then here's your chance.

Art Workshop

On February 10, Saturday, @kennik is holding an art workshop for kids in Barangay 11B. They are expecting 50 kids to participate in this event and will appreciate volunteers. Art materials and snacks are already taken care of - thanks to @deverei, @artguild, @steemph, @jacintha.sevilla, and everyone who supported this project through their upvotes - so all you need to bring is yourself, and perhaps an extra shirt. If you'd like to attend, please reach out to @kennik in Discord so he can provide instructions on when and where you can meet before going to the location.

Homesteading Brigade

Our project in Libertad High School for April is already in the works. We were able to contact a group of people in Abu Dhabi who also wants to be a part of this. Someone already pledged for the construction of a new building for classrooms but apparently, the local government of Samal also took notice and promised a new building by the start of the next school year. As for @steemph.davao, we can focus on providing the materials needed for the Homesteading Brigade, like the seeds, seedlings, seedling trays, and fertilizers. Snacks and lunch will also be provided for those who will join. We're looking at a total of 100 participants; 60 students, 20 teachers/faculty members, and 20 volunteers.

SteemPH Meet-Up Caravan

This month, SteemPH will kick-off the Meet-Up Caravan in Malolos, Bulacan and then move towards the North to hold meet-ups in Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Ilocos, and Benguet. In April, it will be in Davao to meet all the Steemians in the city. Steemians who will be joining are required to bring along at least one non-Steemian friend who will be introduced to the platform. @steemnest will also be there to touch on topics that are pertinent to content creation, like text and image formatting. We're already checking out places on where we can possibly hold this in Davao City. If you have suggestions, please leave a comment down below. You may also reach out to us in Discord.
