University Sponsorship

Steemit Philippines is a proud Sponsor of this educational event that will cultivate young minds in the field of Engineering.

We decided on a Major sponsorship for the University of the Philippines-Diliman Machine Design Summit 2018 because it is a competition for future innovators and engineers of Universities and High Schools. It was an added bonus that promoting steemit and steemph through our first University Roadshow event helped us talk to a LOT of schools in just one venue.

The Machine Design Summit is a series of events which includes machine design contests, seminars, and laboratory tours. It is designed to bring out the creativity and innovation of students using basic engineering concepts.

An Invitation

We invited all who were interested in making good quality content including artists, musicians, also anyone who would be interested in writing about Science and Engineering using @bearone's flyer.

We informed that they didn't need to be intimidated by the platform since we have guides and tutorials (@steemnest) backed by a growing community that helps each other out.

Touching point on @steemph's mission and vision, we showed them the growing Steemit Philippines community spread throughout the archipelago and showed a few of our recent charity and outreach works far reaching Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao.

We entertained some questions about steemit, @dreamiely gladly helped on cryptocurrency related questions and shared about her life as a full time steemian. After answering a multitude of questions, we accepted a token from the UP Gears and Pinions which @dreamiely and I, @luvabi accepted on behalf of @steemph.

Wrapping up

I am very proud of this 2x2 tarpaulin created by @deveerei using signature @steemph graphics from @bearone and printed out by @grazz. It was huge! I thought we would need a backdrop for our booth and it was a great photo background, like a steemit photobooth.

We took some photos on stage and went to dinner at a nearby cafe since we had a lot to talk about steemit. We felt like old friends with a lot of catching up to do since most of us only met on Discord and met in person for the first time. Some we already met at the first meet-up like @wilbejel and @monkeypattycake. Some were also charity volunteers like @tpkidkai. Over dinner, a lot of us learned a lot from @surpassinggoogle who shared his knowledge and inspiration over dinner while answering questions about the platform.
