Hello plant lovers
🌹Now sharing about my roses which are special to me.
This is my second time participating in @knopka145 contest. Thank you for the chance to share and I am grateful!
I have prepared a few good photos of my dried roses which I use for:
- Pressing flowers
- Naturally dried roses
- Rose facial
- Home decor
Roses are the Queen's flower as they say because aside from it's ornamental aesthetic it is prized in sociery for its multipurpose use, symbolism of love, affection and compassion and they are also good to eat, it's oils and petals are used for medicine and health. It's perfume for fragrance. Let's not forget the pollen which feeds butterflies and bees. Truly it deserves it's title.
To receive such a beautiful gift would also bring much joy and love.
Showcasing the products of my roses at home
These are "chinese roses" so it is a smaller variety of roses.
🌹Air dried roses
These roses are dried naturally, I pick them from the garden and leave them in an open and safe place to dry. In my case, I place them in our home altar over a wooden surface (table).
🌹Pressed flowers
This all began when I pressed flowers and needed more supply for some activities so I found a way to multiply my Rose plants. I will show you first roses which I have pressed.
I basically just pluck them and press for 1-2 weeks. Then they are ready for anything.
🌹Home decor
They will always glow up your home

🌹Roses as resin crafts
I met a local resin jewelry maker. We have done some collaboration on my ideas and roses and her crafts.
This piece is a necklace with one of my favorite saints and also making it special is the flower in my garden.

A memento Mori skull pendant with a real sunflower inside and the surrounding flowers are home grown. Recognize the sunflower?
🌹Mini facial
Here's the health part, I am not particularly sure I want to try eating the petals even if they are edible but I did make an aloe vera rose petal facial. Clean it, juice it and rub on your face. You'll be fresher and moisturized.
REPRODUCING THE ROSES🌹✨
We come now to the best part, growing and multiplying these graceful beauties.
Steps
The only method I have tried is through stem cuttings. Since my roses are small and thin I cut the stem diagonally where there is a node (a bumpy part where a potential branch may sprout from) and I stick it on to the soil, water it and cover with a plastic bottle (no holes). They will grow leaves in a few days and roots in a few weeks.
My stem cuttings are short, since my roses are a small type it is enough. They are also alive, not dry, the moment I cut them I plant them so it is assured of success. If you want to stem cut and plant it's best fresh. If you have flowers from bouquet, it is hard to bring them to life since they have been a few days dried, the hormones in the plants may become dull or dead.
I have tried it with some roses I got from a vase at church (with permission). It didn't survive so I just pressed the flowers instead.
💡Can one plant rose stems without trimming leaves?
I have made a small experiment. The answer is yes. If you don't have a bottle to cover your stems, you can plant the rose stem with a few leaves and water regularly. They will grow roots and still survive.
Perhaps cutting leaves is just an assurance of healthier leaves growing from the stem. I am actually not sure I have not yet done my research.
But anyway, it works. Try it!
Four months later🌹🌹🌹
So from 1-2 inch rose stem cuttings I am blessed to have rose plants which are flowering and growing taller.
I have 40 rose plants now. Oh, but there's one tomato seed that got in there though.
Very happy of this growth. They are also blooming already at an early stage because they are mature stems that grew they might have all the necessary hormones to make it bloom easily compared to growing from seed I think.

Here's a flow of random photos ✨
I have two mother plants which I cut stems from when I prune them. Instead of wasting the branches I replant them so I will keep on REPRODUCING them. Haha
I give them as gifts for now but I look forward to selling them.
🌹🌹🌹Let's not forget the videos🌹🌹🌹
Overall I have learned so much in my caring for our roses and sunflowers. I am happy to share what I know hoping everyone will propagate this beautiful rose tree. Filled with much emotional and spiritual value.
Thank you for your time in watching flowers with me
