Hi All! Check out this auction tin I picked up for 1 Dollar. Please look, you're gonna like this pile of metal!
Yep, it sure looks like a clusterfuck sitting beside a perfectly good pint of cider...good job @jbcoin! Hang in there with me for a second...
This was my main focus in buying the tin...a vintage glass Crosley Radio Dial, Special Band, Municipal and State Police Calls
Doesn't look like much, but there are a lot of Crosley Radio collectors and restorers out there. With a little @jbcoin eBay luck, that will be turned into a silver eagle.
Then there are 41 total 75th Anniversary General Motors / Fisher Body (1983) commemorative key tags, made like little ingots. 14 copper, 12 aluminum, and 15 brass. Metal is metal, and General Motors stuff is cool..so a neat pile of copper and brass!
Cool little GM tags and a whole crap ton of them!
Ok, what's left inside of this junk tin?
A cool old pocket watch fob chain, still works well....
A gas key...a folding measure advertising Road King Graders and other heavy equipment...
And a little bit of the Shiney!!
This little gem likes the 10k juice the best. We will call it 10k, even though most likely it is an antique 12k gold piece.
Of course @jbcoin knew this little scrap was in the bottom of the auction tin.
I have been gold sniffin' longer than most of the iPhone playing auction goers in the crowd have been alive....but I don't hold it against them!
It's nice when you can have fun, find some collectibles, and leave with a little bit of gold for just a dollar bill (cash).
So 1.4 grams of 10k scrap is about $24.94 today. Not my best find, but I'll take it! 😊
Those of you who know me, already know that most everything I own is not bolted down, and probably open for trade or sale lol.
If you see ever see anything that you like, just let me know and we can probably get it on the road to you by morning!
