"Fortune Favors the Bold" - My 1st Bold Precious Metals Unboxing

Golden greetings and silver salutations! Within a day of placing my first order with Monument Metals, I placed my first order with Bold Precious Metals. I am pleased with the results. This order was prompted by my want for one of those Fiji Mermaid Rising coins and because I wanted to take advantage of their awesome welcome pack deals. First time customers (if they order $100+ in other coins) can purchase one of their welcome packs for spot! There are 7 different packs to choose from, so I'll only talk about the one I chose, the "Around the World" pack. This pack features a American Silver Eagle, Britannia, Maple Leaf, Kangaroo, and a Philharmonic. 5 coins for SPOT! It is such a good deal. Enough chatting, let's look at some of my order.

2018 Fiji Mermaid Rising

Mermaid.jpg

There it is in all its ummmmmmmm...glory?!? Much like the stock photos from all of the dealers, this isn't exactly a pretty coin. Well, its pretty alright, pretty ugly. That mintage is what got me, 15,000. Plus I thought it was selling like crazy. It showed sold out on APMEX and on Bold and the only place I found them available was in Bold's Fiji Collector pack. Since I did not have either of the other two coins, I bought one. Since then, the Mermaid Rising is back in stock at both places.

All of these coins are minted by Provident, so I'll only show you the obverse as I keep these coins on their cardboard slab. I actually enjoyed the look of the other 2 coins in the Fiji set even more, so let's take a look.

2017 Fiji Great Wave

Wave.jpg

According to Bold's website , this design is a reproduction of artwork from the 1800s entitiled "Under the Wave off Kanagawa". It is my favorite of the 3 and the photo does not do it justice, that is for sure! This coin has a mirrored finish above the wave. I had to take multiple pics to try to negate some of that reflection. While I like looking at it, I doubt this will ever increase in value. It is a one off Fiji coin with a mintage of 50,000. It is not a coin I would not invest in, but I sure don't mind having one of them.

2016 Fiji Iguana

Iguana.jpg

This was the second (and I believe the last) Fiji Iguana coin minted. It was supposed to be a series, but since you can still find these coins with no problems , I think the series failed.

Overall, it is an ok coin. The iguana looks cool, but the coin is so plain. It is very reflective, much like the Great Wave. I don't think I would need to buy any more of these.

The "Around the World" Pack

Group bold.jpg

If you are a stacker, you probably know these coins pretty well. I received 2018 versions of all of them. There is nothing too special about the set. It would be great if you are a newcomer, but being someone who has collected silver for years, I view these as more weight than anything. None of these will be encapsulated. What is very special
about this is the price...SPOT! None of the other "at spot" deals I know of have government backed coins at spot. That makes this a huge winner!

I hope you enjoyed looking at some shiny. There were a couple of other coins I have featured before (a Stormtrooper and a Koala) in this order that I used to get it to $100. Until next time, keep stacking and supporting #SteemSilverGold, #SteemUSA, and #TheAlliance!
