I know we had a tense couple days, but it's over and things have settled so now it's Fun Time!

I'm feeling a big weight lifted now that the tiers are set up and we've back on the old bot build without any missed votes or others issues, it was really a stressful little while there, and heck of alot of work. We will eventually move to a new build with a decay and stuff, but for now it's working fine so that's all the matters to me.

Voting Power

It looks like we hit the voting power perfect in the sweet spot with the current tier structure. She's creeped up close to 99.5%, and went on a mission to track down any previously missed post and upgraded the few guys that wanted to add some extra donations and delegations there and she settled a bit and now sitting around 96% again. I also see in the feed we have a few guys posting over 2/day so I think when we get around to adding the decay we'll have a little extra voting power. I have a few ideas how to use it, but I'm looking for feedback from everyone else as well. My first idea is that when I curate the second chance post I think maybe it should come with a bonus vote from Stax, anywhere from 20-100% depending on her voting power. I think it will help to increase some engagement and good posts on the #SteemSilverGold tag, it may also help a few active minnows putting out good content and not able to become tiered members. I was also hoping to reach out to @welshstacker and seeing if there's a way to use some of Stax's voting power to help with some of his contests. I think a few 100 or 50% votes from her could be a pretty sweet prize now that shes's a power house.

Anyways if anyone has any other ideas let me know, and give me some feedback about these ideas, if everyone is cool with it and the voting power stays up as people get more active after the holidays I'll probably go ahead and run with these ideas.

New Years Goal Contest

Here's my current contest idea. I've been seeing lots of New Years goals posts recently and I think I did see a few stackers posting some silver goals and I think it's super cool. So lets start a contest for a week where everyone posts there Silver Stacking goals to the tag #stackingoals. From there we'll probably just draw at random from everyone that entered and they person will win a Tier Upgrade for the rest of the Month! (Ie if you copper you'll go to nickel, if your silver you'll go to gold, if you member you'll go to copper, If your gold maybe you'll just get a refund-I don't know).

I think it's fun if the goals are a certain coin or series that your trying to complete or find. Something you really want for you stack or collection. And that way no one has to share there current "oz count" if they don't want to. Of course if you prefer your goal could just be add 50oz or whatever, but make a full quality post about it, comments don't count!

The other cool thing about sharing our coin or round goals is that maybe someone else here is sitting on that exact piece of silver and it doesn't mean as much to them. You know they'll be eager to help a buddy out and make some trade, I know I certainly would and if someones dream coin is in my stack collecting dust, I'd likely part with it for them. You know if @raybrockman has it, he's likely going ship it too you for free...lol.

Anyways I think it's going to be a fun way to kick of the new year!

Second Chance Post

There's currently another exciting contest here with a few days left being run by @underground. He's asking for nominations from current members for someone they want to see get into stacking or someone that's still pretty new at it get them started on the right foot. I think it's a great and generous plan so head over and check it out and nominate someone!
