Pocket silver challenge. First day #25

So I thought I'd jump on the ever growing bandwagon of taking a piece of silver out of its capsule and keeping it in my pocket for good luck.

Through a very complex and intense procedure (shutting my eyes and grabbing a random coin from a box) the coin that will now be my "lucky silver coin" is a 2015, Royal Canadian mint, bird of prey series, great horned owl.

The coin contains 1 oz of .9999 fine Silver and features a bullion finish with brilliant frosted relief on a lined background. The coin has a $5 face value and is backed by the Royal Canadian mint/government.

So what's the first thing I did with my new lucky coin.... Well like most folks I went to work and since my job involves looking down a microscope all day that's the first place my coin went.

After my experience with some other Canadian silver I thought I would inspect this coin very closely.

Luckily it turned out to be genuine. Fingers crossed we might venture out tomorrow for some more pictures, but it was a little bit wet today.
