For those of us die hard football fans. The summer presents a very unique set of problems. The season has been over for a while and the next one is not in sight. We are used to hectic football schedules where high quality and high tempo matches are being churned out very 2-3 days. We feel starved of the beautiful game and sometimes cannot seem to remember what it used to feel like to watch those great football matches.
We can actually count ourselves lucky this summer; we had the Confederations cup played in Russia. For two weeks, some of the best national teams in the world went toe to toe with each other. But that too has come to an end and we find ourselves only comforted by transfer rumors about our favorite club sides.
If you are a football fan like me and find yourself feeling these thing; I have good news for you, the wait is almost over. In the coming days most football clubs would have their players returning from their summer leave of absences and returning for summer training camps located in various places around the world. These would be followed by extensive fixtures and pre-season tournaments.
The International Champions Cup
Since inception back in 2013, the International Champions Cup (ICC) has served has the premier exhibition pre-season tournament in the world. It pits some of the best club teams from Europe in friendly matches played primarily in the United States, Canada and Asia.
This year’s tournament promises to be yet another fierce fiesta of football as America would play host to top teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Paris Saint German, Roma, Barcelona, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspurs. China & Singapore would play host to teams such as Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Olympic Lyonnais, Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC
