Una tarea pendiente como reseñamos en la publicación anterior, ya que a pesar de ser los campeones vigentes de España y de Europa al Real Madrid se le hacía casi imposible lograr un resultado favorable en el Camp Nou en los últimos tiempos.
Fiel a su filosofía de dosificar a Cristiano Ronaldo, el técnico francés lo hizo entrar al campo en el segundo tiempo en el minuto 58, ya que el Real Madrid dominaba ampliamente el encuentro y no fue necesaria su presencia hasta la segunda mitad. Y creemos que esta filosofía de saber dosificar a sus jugadores será clave en esta temporada al igual que en la anterior, Zidane sabe cómo manejar a toda su plantilla y ha logrado dominar el carácter de Ronaldo para hacerle entender que es mejor no jugar todos los encuentros para de esta forma encontrarse a tope en las citas más importantes.
Se noto claramente durante la mayoría del primer encuentro que el Real Madrid se encuentra mentalmente mucho mejor que el equipo blaugrana quien aun no logra superar la ida del astro Brasileño Neymar.
Para este segundo encuentro Zidane no podrá disponer de Ronaldo debido a que fue expulsado al final del encuentro por acumulación de tarjetas amarillas, pero con lo demostrado por el equipo en el primer tiempo, tenemos la certeza de que el Real Madrid saldrá con mucha confianza a dominar el encuentro desde el pitazo inicial para quedarse con este preciado trofeo.

Tambien el equipo catalán se encuentra a la espera de reconstruirse con fichajes de altura que permitan recobrar competitividad en varios sectores del campo en donde se observaron deficiencias en la temporada pasada, un mediocampista defensivo, un lateral derecho para suplantar a Dani Alves y un nuevo atacante a la altura del espacio dejado por Neymar.
En el primer encuentro solo le quedo a los dirigidos por Valverde confiar en que Deulofeu realizaría un buen encuentro suplantando a Neymar, y que de la mano de Messi y demás jugadores de jerarquía como Suarez, Busquets, Pique e Iniesta, el equipo tendría un desempeño a la altura del encuentro. Pero todo comenzó a ir mal cuando al comienzo del segundo tiempo, Pique quien había jugado un correcto encuentro hasta ese momento, encajo un gol en propia puerta.
Luego con la entrada de Ronaldo el Madrid dominaba y se hacía aun más peligroso en los contragolpes. Sin embargo lograron empatar gracias a que Suarez sufrió una falta dentro del área en el minuto 77 que Messi convirtió en un gol desde el punto penal. Pero esta alegría no duraría mucho ya que Ronaldo sentencio el encuentro con un gol en el minuto 80 y Asensio terminaría de romper las ilusiones blaugranas con un gol en el minuto 90.
El único consuelo que les queda a los catalanes es que debido al exceso en la celebración del gol de Ronaldo y a una simulación que el luso realizo para tratar d obtener un penal al final del encuentro, el mismo fue expulsado y no podrá jugar el encuentro en Madrid. Pero Barcelona tendrá que jugar de manera excepcional si desean revertir este marcador ya que los dirigidos por Zidane mostraron un gran desempeño en la primera mitad con una alineación que tenia únicamente a Benzema y Bale como atacantes.
