El segundo encuentro del prestigioso torneo International Champions Cup, en donde juegan los equipos pertenecientes la elite del futbol mundial. Los dos gigantes de Manchester, United vs City, se enfrentan en un partido que a pesar de ser un amistoso será muy interesante debido a que Guardiola y Mourinho medirán fuerzas probando las nuevas incorporaciones en sus equipos con la mira puesta en la temporada 2017/2018.

The red devils did not make many additions of renown( only 4 new players) in this transfer market, except for Romero Lukaku who came to supplant the space left by one of the best players in history, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. This means that Mourinho fully relies on most of the players that he has since last season.
Despite finishing last season down on the standings table in the premier league in comparison to the City, we could say that United had a better season overall because they managed to win the Europa League and got a direct position in the Champions League.
Let's not forget that Mourinho is a great coach, and most of his players have already adapted to his style of play. Therefore, we can predict that the performance of the team will be even better this season, and what better way to prove it than starting the season defeating their city rivals.
Los diablos rojos no realizaron muchas incorporaciones( solo 4) en este mercado de renombre, a excepción de Romero Lukaku quien vino a suplantar el espacio dejado por uno de los mejores jugadores de la historia, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Esto quiere decir que Mourinho confía plenamente en la mayoría de los jugadores con los cuales se manejo la temporada pasada.
A pesar de haber quedado mas abajo en la tabla de posiciones en la premier league en comparación con el City, podríamos decir que tuvo una mejor temporada debido a que lograron ganar la Europa League y de esta forma obtener un cupo directo a la Champions League.
No nos olvidemos que Mourinho es un gran técnico y la mayoría de sus jugadores ya se adaptaron poco a poco a su estilo de juego por lo que podemos preveer que el desempeño del equipo será mejor aun esta temporada, y que mejor manera de demostrarlo que comenzando la temporada derrotando a sus rivales citadinos.

El equipo dirigido por Guardiola se reforzó en varias posiciones clave, con varios fichajes de alto costo, como sería el caso del portero Ederson, proveniente de Benfica por un costo de 40 millones, Walker como lateral proveniente del Hotspur por 51 millones y Bernardo Silva de Monaco por 50 millones, entre otros, para sumar 9 jugadores nuevos en la plantilla entre fichajes nuevos y jugadores que han retornado luego de estar a préstamo en otros equipos. Con lo cual podemos ver que a diferencia de Mourinho, Guardiola si considero necesario reforzar ampliamente varias posiciones del campo, desde la portería hasta el ataque.
Tomando en cuenta lo difícil que fue para Guardiola la temporada pasada, ya que para un técnico de su calibre el no ganar ni un titulo en toda la temporada es un fracaso total, esto impulso a Guardiola, por el espíritu ganador que lo caracteriza, a la renovación de muchos puestos en la alineación inicial, y tomando en cuenta que ahora posee más experiencia en todo lo que implica dirigir un equipo de esta magnitud en la Premier league, la cual es la liga mas pareja y difícil de ganar de todo el mundo, ya que existe por lo mínimo al comienzo de la temporada, 4 a 6 candidatos a ser campeones de liga, podemos asegurar que esta temporada será definitivamente mejor para él, y ciertamente no vemos una mejor oportunidad que la que se le presenta al enfrentarse en la pretemporada a su rival citadino, el cual es dirigido por quienes consideran es su némesis, para obtener una victoria que logre impulsar a su equipo en la senda ganadora en la cual sabemos que sería imparable.
