Steepshot

As some of you are aware, I've come to like this particular app that has been built off the STEEM blockchain. I've been using it on a fairly regular basis for a little over two months now and really pleased with the latest update and integrations. I personally use it on my android devices as I am not a very big fan of the IOS. Currently, I use it most on my Galaxy S7 Edge. The performance is quite satisfactory.

Steepshot Pros

Steepshot has become my beloved replacement for Instagram. Why? Because I love Steemit and Instagram has NEVER given me any kind reward. All they did was fill my feed up with spammy nonsense, not much unlike Facebook. When I first started using it, it was very basic. You could use a picture you took, write a title, and add some tags. NOW, they have added the ability to write a short description allowing me to add a gigantic boost to the quality of my post as it hits Steemit from the app itself. I was really glad to see this come into play. Another thing they just added, is the ability to take a live selfie or picture, which is always cool. Especially for those selfie challenges I keep hearing of, think @papa-pepper does one and there are a few others. Something to think about ;)

Steepshot Cons

There are ony a few things I'm not too keen on yet with it, and should be considered before someone decides to use it. You may only choose one picture per post. Not a huge deal, but if you intend to do a series or story, better to use Steemit itself. Earlier, I mentioned tags. One thing the app does is takes one of your five allotted tags and makes it #steepshot. Now, I can understand why, so I'm not too upset about it, but if you intend to use Steepshot, know that you will have to choose your four remaining categories wisely. The two other things I'm not a huge fan of entail the voting on there. You have no choice what percentage you give a picture post through the platform. You either give it a 100% heart, or nothing at all. In that same genre, when you post a picture, it doesn't give you a choice as to your own rewards distribution. It automatically removes your vote for your own post, and doesn't give you any option for 100% Steem Power Reward or even deny a payout. They are minor disadvantages, and the only one I really want to see changed is the percentage of voting for pictures in my feed.

So, if @pmartynov, @vitality, @anch, @korzunav, @nikitz, or @kirill.volkov happen to read this, you have my opinion. That's the development team by the way. Overall, I'm under the impression it's becoming something grand you guys, and I look forward to future updates and improvements on your application. I love taking pictures, thank you for giving us a fantastic way to share them! Has anyone else who reads this used Steepshot? If so, please let me know what you think about it in the comments below. Have a beautiful morning, day, evening, night or what have you - wherever you may be. STEEM ON!
