Beautiful Sunday at the San Diego Trolley Stop trains and graffiti
I’m in between San Diego Trolley Stop stations at sunset and graffiti caught my eye.
But then a train explosion happened!
A few trolleys before mine all coming and going at once. The trains are decorated sometimes with advertising for events in town or just plain advertising.
Few people
Here it's quiet and safe.
This man is homeless and shifting his belongings. You can walk in the tracks if there are no trains. Cars can’t go there so it’s quiet where the trolley runs. Good walking streets. This is why I am here too. One street over is full of stopped and rushing traffic and loud traffic chaos.
Downtown San Diego is quiet on the weekends
These shots are in the downtown core on a Sunday when I got done shopping. I’m between Civic Center Station and Fifth Avenue Station. Normally this area is bustling with office workers during the week.
Without people, San Diego is quiet on the weekends unless something like comicon is going on. Downtown is usually a ghost town like it is in these photos outside of working hours. But the stores are still open so that’s when I used to go.
San Diego trolley is good public transportation
I used the San Diego Trolley a lot when I lived there. I tried to always live near a stop in my wanderings so I could get out easily. The buses are ok in some places but it’s better to be able to walk to the trolley if you can. It’s faster and hopefully what you want is right near another stop.
California is not known for good public transportation, but San Diego can work out pretty well if you do it right.
Above the wall of graffiti with glowing light was calling me. The stairs helped someone make this creation. Just for me.
I like the background color, the composition, the symmetry and the play with the piping and fire escapes. Fantastic surrounding architecture! I give this graffiti a thumbs up!
I feel like I should process these, but this is the glare-y light I saw.
It was freezing that evening with wind coming off the Pacific Ocean. Don’t let anyone every tell you it is hot in California. It’s freezing there most of the time. Only September is roasting and then maybe into fall. The rest of the time it’s cold.
I photograph everything as I go through most days. This was a good few moments. Other people might be waiting for their train and impatient. I know the train will come and I fitinfun until it does. this is one of the times and I remember it well. I have trouble photographing people and I got some on this day.
I want to know about that hole in the side of the building.
