I think
This might be
a good thing.
In opening
this third eye,
it all looks so strange,
it all looks so clean.
Now I don't really know you,
and I don't really know truth.
But I'd love to.
I don't really know you,
But the words you say just might be true.
If I blink
you might
fade from my memory.
Keep my eye open,
and try to say what I mean,
one important thing.
That I refuse to hold to
anything that's not you,
so that's what ill choose, and do.
I'll live in fear
and hope too,
to get the chance to love
what I feel in you.
But I think
I know what's
happening.
I change
right before
your eyes.
to someone
unseen, brand new
already moving.
So what, I really know you,
but still I've never known truth,
and I'd love to.
Not for any one use,
but because you just might be true.
Thank you for spending time here. The poetry community is continuing to grow and every day I see more and more being posted. One good way to share in community is the Poetry Slam Challenge #2: Freedom. Not only do you get to share your work and earn SBD prizes, you get to know the rest of the community better and they're awesome. Today's the last day to get an entry in, check the original guidelines HERE.
If you're too busy for this challenge, make sure to give me a follow so you can catch Poetry Slam Challenge 3!
