Wat Arun Ratchawararam, meaning Temple of Dawn, is the most beautiful-less and most famous temple in Thailand soaring to 70 meter high spiral towers decorated with tiny pieces all colored glass and Chinese porcelain making it a very photogenic temple.

I have been wanting to visit this temple for a long time it had been under restoration for a while so not long ago that was all completed so i decided to take the boat over there today after getting of the sky-train a very short boat ride easy temple to get to very accessible by boat, bus and taxis. As a tourist and been holy grounds just need be respectful specially in the clothes you wear as for ladies long skirts and don't show to much skin if you turn up with shorts you can hire a long wrap around skirt at the temple at a very low cost and entrance fee is also a very low cost about $2 US.

You can climb the central prang if you wish but be warned the steps are very steep even though their are railing on the sides to hang on to you would not want to be a faith hearted because even coming back down can be very tricky but once at the highest point the views are sensational you can see the whole of the Chao Phraya River winding around plus the awesome views of the Bangkok city. Unfortunately today they had the staircases close due to many tourist on site will have to go back during the week when it is not so busy as weekends i have got to check out that view.

The landscaping around the temple are just spectacular and beautiful very well kept and manicured they do have a couple of coffee shops on the premises just right for @c0ff33a he would feel at home there sitting by the river watching that sunset light up the temple.
