Some of us friends decided to do an overnight stay at one of our friend's farmhouse which is an hour away from the city. This weekend the weather was perfect in Muscat city. It was cloudy, though it didn't rain much but through out the day it was drizzling which is so unlikely in the Middle East region. We did not expect the weather would turn out to be like this, it was a bonus for us. I thoroughly enjoy this type of weather, otherwise it is always bright sunny days and scorching heat.
The farmhouse had nice small cottages with basic amenities. so it is sufficient to spend an overnight. We were totally 15 of us with 4 kids. we had carried everything with us, the food, drinks , music arrangements and some games also to play. The farmhouse was huge, it had a swimming pool, big garden area, a bird house and the whole place is surrounded by trees of all different fruits. There were Pomegranate, Mango, Naseberry trees all over the place and lot of other plants. Being around in this place for 2 days was very refreshing and rejuvenating. At night we all spread out the mattresses in one line for sleeping. This reminded me of my school days, when we used to go for picnic we used to do the same.

At the Bird house there were these Ducks, Peacocks, Peahens and also some Rabbits.
We are just getting started
The day was filled with fun and laughter, all day we had music going on. Kids spent some time in the pool. we played some games and then at night we had a barbecue dinner. A perfect way to spend the weekend.
There was also this huge Banyan Tree, I am not sure what it's age would be like, but looks really very old, may be around 300 years. I never miss an opportunity to do a Tree hug when I get one.
