Charles Jackson is a young university student, who has always loved chemistry. While studying the reaction of organic matter with various catalysts, I accidentally found a new particle apparently not registered by science. When he was alone in the laboratory, he decided not to document this finding until he had revealed his secrets on his own, since someone else could take credit for his work.

Through various experiments he discovered that this particle altered the matter in an unnatural way, since it increased its radioactivity to exorbitant levels, but without registering damages in the atoms that make it up. That is why he decided to name her EIR (Exaggerated Ionizing Radiation)

Due to the large number of hours spent studying the EIR particle, Charles was not aware of the subtle changes his body was undergoing. One morning after he woke up on the study table in which he fell asleep prey to the previous fatigue, he noticed that on it there was a thin layer of dust, in the right place where before there had been a test tube, when investigating in his mind and not find memories about the reason for this event, attributed to fatigue his bad memory, probably the previous night had stored elsewhere the test tube and spilled some dirt to do so.

But the series of events that happened this first mishap, left no doubt in his insightful mind. That same day, due to fatigue, he decided to take a cold shower to wake up his senses, but he noticed a strange vapor that flooded the bathroom while the water tried to touch his body. This phenomenon terrified him for a few minutes and as he did so, he perceived that the temperature increased more and more, after trying several times to make his reason prevail in the face of fear, he managed to calm down, and immediately felt the water reach his body as he had always done.

After some blood studies and a few x-rays, he found out that the EIR particle was already part of his anatomy and he had deliberately transformed it. Based on his studies, he discovered that it was irreversible and he could not get rid of it. By overcoming the conflict that arose after his mistake by allowing this to happen, he decided to take on his new skills and use them in the use of good.

Taking as its emblem the name of the Greek goddess of justice, he decided to call himself Themis, and as he discovers his powers, he fights crime in the streets of his city, while still leading a normal life as a very promising student. For now...
