Realization of a Dream "Building my own Gaming Rig"

Hello fellow steemians!

Yesterday, I just did my introduction and highlighted that one thing that excites me the most is having built my own PC. And so I thought that I wanted to share that experience here on steem.

A little background: Having a started a little family, gaming time really cut down for me; working is not helping at all. I am sure a whole lot of you can say the same thing for yourselves. Right now, I am mostly invested in Hearthstone, though I wanted to play some AAA games at 1080p only. And so the reason why I decided to go for this build of my choice.

This build was 6 months in the making. I really had to budget properly as I am only using extra savings every month for this.
I bought the Case first as I was certain I am going to build a small one and the TT Core v1 was just right. Eventually the motherboard as explained below. Then the rest was the season of bonuses and love and giving and cookies and a red fat man. And maybe some on the new year too.

I enjoyed taking these pictures so let me just share them here.

I chose the H170N-WIFI as this was a steal. A friend won this motherboard on a raffle from Gigabyte on Facebook. He knew I was planning on making a small build like this and offered this to me on a low price.

I chose to get 2x8 rather than 2x4 mainly because I wanted to future proof it a bit. This computer will mostly be used for my wife's work from home. And organized as she is(insert HAHAHA), she leaves everything open so what the heck.

If you noticed, the boxes didn't include the video card. This was the last major piece of the puzzle. I was torn between the 6GB and the 3GB variant and did not have any extra cash to push for the 6GB. I was really about to get the 3GB one till my wife surprised me the 6GB one as a gift for Christmas. Best Christmas Evah? I love you Babe!

I chose to build this Mid-Range PC build because of Financial Constraints. This kept me in check and reminded me that I am building a computer versus needs rather than wants. It is great to dream of an i7 build with a GTX1080ti, but to me, though it is really nice to have, I can enjoy all the same with an i5 with a GTX1060.

It is also nice to MOD and make it look more cooler, but then, I don't even have time to play the games I want to play so.. meh..

I can still remember the actual day I placed it all together. Just like Lego, It was a very satisfying feeling. Hopefully this post has inspired you to either build your own Dream RIG or share what you have already built.

So that is it for me. If you enjoyed reading through the content, hit upvote and comment the RIG of your dreams or share the Dream RIG that you already have.

That is it for me.. Till next time! And GameON!
