TacoCat's TrEats #28: Sweet Treats for a Sweet Tooth 🍨

Hey Steemit!

Sidenote: I'm actually not sure if this post can be considered for this contest but it was an interesting experience so I'm just sharing it here!

Anyway, both of us are big MCU fans so when Endgame was released we decided to go big and spend on Gold Class seats (or the Cathay cinema equivalent).

We also had food served to us during the movie as part of our ticket! But we were so absorbed in the movie we didn't really finish it.
2.jpg
We finished up our dessert after the movie (while we recovered from our sadness. 😫)

So after the movie, we decided to go check out MAGNUM Singapore since we had vouchers to spend there!
3.jpg

It is actually quite a fancy shop, albeit a tad small. There was really only 1 bar table and a few chairs in the shop.
4.jpg

On the left wall there was this super cool Singapore skyline made out of Magnum ice cream sticks!
5.jpg

When we arrived there were a few people in the store; I think since its located in Orchard only tourists would actually patronise it.

So the special thing about the Magnum store is you get to customise your own ice cream!

The first step is to choose 3 different toppings that they'll mix together.
6.jpg
There were actually quite a few strange ones, like chilli flakes and salted egg if I recall correctly. I wonder if anyone has ever tried those savoury toppings. 😅 We decided on cookies, almonds and peanuts crunch or something like that.

The next step is to choose the kind of chocolate you want to coat your ice cream in! There were 3 choices; milk, dark and white. We went with the standard milk chocolate just because.
7.jpg

So the store assistant will dip the cone in your chosen chocolate, cover it with your toppings, and drizzle over it with chocolate again.

Here's our end product!

It was actually pretty yummy; I was quite happy with our topping choices and they blended pretty well together.

I did find it a little too sweet though, but it was probably because I don't really have much of a sweet tooth anymore and I had just eaten cheesecake before this. 😕

We actually still had vouchers leftover so we ordered a chocolate drink at the bar as well!
10.jpg

They also had other drinks but since we're not coffee drinkers, we decided on their signature chocolate.
13.jpg

Here's our dessert in its entirety!
11.jpg

That was a lot of sweet things in succession. I definitely surpassed my sugar quota for the day (not that I was on a diet, I just can't take the sweet taste too much).

The store itself was actually quite neat and pretty. The aesthetic was definitely nice and fancy; fitting for a Magnum store in ION Orchard. It made me feel out of place a little though. 😅

But it was definitely a sweet ending to a great day. 😊

Thanks for reading!
