The lights on the ceiling are plenty and bright. The environment feels fresh, clean and uplifting. As I admire my surroundings, I know that the electricity bill is no small cost.
That is why I believe electricity consumption is not the problem.
The problem is that our electricity is not clean.
While I am not trying to discount the work that has already been done, the renewable energy we have today really is not enough.
For example, if you combine all the solar power generation of the Top 35 countries together, in 2016, we generated about 358 billion kWh of solar electricity.
But when compared with what we need as a global race in a year (22,000 trillion kWh), it is only 0.00168% - we are still very far away from 100% renewable energy for the entire world.
That is why I am developing EMPOWER, a solution that just might help us create an unprecedented demand of renewable energy that will change the course of our history.
