Team Malaysia Sabah Steemians Gathering

Sabah Steemit Gathering 2018 today was awesome, everyone left with smiles on the their faces and since I had to end the event as our time for the meeting room usage is ticking, it seems like everyone wanted to stay longer... LOL. That's a good indicator that they wanted more.

My hope for this event is that those attended will be a better educator to their friends and other sabahan on the value of steemit. I wish them well and success in their steemit journey.

I would like to tell you that we had 250 people attended the event, but I am not good at Photoshop.. LOL.

There were 25 people attended and out of 25 people , two 16 years old. The first question they ask during mid of the presentation was " how to cash out " .. I think they will be a making good amount of money when they reach 17. Hehehe..

@bitrocker2020 even shows them how to do live payout to a local bank and what discord is all about and show them how it work.

We told everyone that we start at 6pm , all came early, by 6.15pm we got it going. I did some introduction and welcoming, everyone given a chance to briefly introduce themselves so to break the ice and then @bitrocker2020 carry with the introductory presentation on basic steemit.

There was a video show , a break time and the last session was all on technical questions. That's was it.

Sabah Steemian has grown pretty healthy for now, I think in the next 4 or 5 month the number will increase at least two fold. Hopefully by then, we will have several collaborative projects together, charity projects and lots of get together. How cool will that be. Do check out who are these Sabah steemians is in my past post, their profile is listed there. Click HERE

We had a our little after party too. Special thanks to @natalielo and @ajlo3310 for inviting us all to her home to enjoy a truckload of durian they got from their orchard.

We had lots of fun, and most importantly the opportunity to really get to know each other and make real friends because of steemit.

I learn tonight that @ajlo3310 is a brilliant artist, I hope to see more of her good work posted shared through her account and to see her collaborating with other local artist such as @borneoairbrush. Through them both, I hope they could help encourage other local artist to use steemit to showcase their talent.

Why Am I Here

Daniel Doughty loves his community and ideas but hates writing. Steemit is a brilliant platform that would help him express his thoughts and helps him practise his writing, he hopes to get better at it.

He is now a self proclaim steemit evangelist and preacher , encouraging his community in Borneo to use steemit as a bridge to the outside world to build awareness, showcase talents and most importantly to create wealth for themselves.
