Galaxy Note 7
In case you haven’t heard yet, Samsung has recently recalled the Galaxy Note 7 due to a faulty battery.
Why is that good?
Not looking at it from an “investors” perspective. The recall it’s good because it reminds us and others of how valuable a person's or a “companie’s” reputation is in our social world. Something that we are seeing and dealing with here on steemit.
Dropped sales
- While the recalled has affected the company’s economy. Drop sales and shares don’t damage Samsung as much since its a gigantic company that will recover.
- Recalls are nothing new and most companies can recover over time.
- Samsung is one of the leading tech companies companies in the world
How Big is Samsung?
Samsung is a really big company and I suggest you watch this video by ColdFusion on youtube.
Changes In The Industry
Other companies may decide to slow down a bit and properly analyze their products before shipping them to consumers.
- The phone industry has grown dramatically over the last few years and it’s hard for consumers to stay up with the latest and greatest.
- The design of new models in which the battery is removable like on LG's G5. (something many loved about older Samsung devices)
- In the end this will lead to higher quality products over high quantity of products from many companies in the industry.
- Another good thing is that, Samsung can provide free Gear VRs to the affected costumers along with a different or upgraded phone.
Security risk?
Samsung plans on doing a software update to cut down the risk of the phone catching fire.
This also brings up more questions as to how secure the battery charging software is or if it being hacked can make the Note 7 or other mobile devices more dangerous.
