The best high-end graphics card
GeForce GTX 1080

Nvidia's GTX 1070 remains our top pick for graphics cards, thanks to excellent performance and wide availability, with prices now occasionally dipping below MSRP (particularly if you find a sale). Our full review has the details, and the 1070 manages to match or exceed the GTX Titan X and GTX 980 Ti in every game at every setting we tested…and it does so at a much lower price point while using significantly less power. It's also faster than anything AMD currently offers.

The GTX 1070 is the card to beat for performance at 'reasonable' pricing, and while AMD's RX 480 and Nvidia's own GTX 1060 are interesting at the $200-$240/£170-£200 price point, performance is a sizeable step down from the 1070. Until AMD launches Vega, which is currently slated for the 'first half' of 2017 (probably May/June), Nvidia can lay claim to the top three high performance GPUs. The 1070 is the most affordable of the three, giving it our pick for the best graphics card.
