Ford has confirmed that they will be bringing back the Bronco and Ranger, which is amazing news, my question is, what Bronco will we be getting. I have seen several different designs, and a couple I love, but I hope it doesn't end up looking like a slightly larger Explorer. Ford has a chance to do something amazing, but please do not make the mistake Dodge made with the Charger, please keep the Bronco a two door SUV, in fact I have some great ideas for what the Bronco should be.
Ford already has the prefect platform with the Raptor, all they have to do is put on a camper top (removable of course) and maybe throw in a twin turbo coyote, just to make it a bit more powerful. I would be happy with the 3.5 V6, but these are just suggestions. I personally feel that here in America, the Bronco is the most iconic SUV, so if Ford is going to do it, they need to do it right. I hope to see it loaded with tech like the Raptor also, give us the terrain management system, a nice center touch screen, maybe go a step further, or an optional upgrade that allows us to manage tire air pressure from inside the cab.
As far as the ranger goes, this is great news, especially if Ford uses the 2.7 Eco boost in this truck, and with Chevy likely bringing ZR2, and maybe ZH2 to the table, we will hopefully get an off road ready Ranger also. Ford can go the insane route, and back it with the 3.5, but in a truck that light it would outdo the Raptor, so I don't see that happening, unless it gets a major detune for the Ranger.
This news is very exciting to me, but I love trucks, and off reading, but I'm sure there are fellow steemians out that that shares my passion.
