I wrote this when I was working in Hollywood and had hopes of getting writing gigs.
This would have been for 10th Season, 1981 and frankly the writing for the show was in a decline. I had written this as a college writing exercise but also as a 'fan boy' of the show.
After showing it to my friend who was currently working the show, he insisted Burt Metcalfe read it. And he did! But as you can see by the nice letter tagged to the end, he passed on it.
He encouraged me to continue but I got distracted with other things (was a kid, ya know) so I didn't follow up on this.
So if you're a fan of the show (with the later cast) you should enjoy this 'lost' episode.
