So @texttosteem is a #steemgigs inspired steemit based gig for anybody wanting to have a steemit blog post converted into audio playback, you transfer us some SBD (steem dollars) to our @texttosteem account with the URL of the blog post as the memo field and we get started recording that audio for you. once we have finished we simple post the audio as a comment onto your blog article in the comments -- we aim to get all recordings done as fast as possible with hopefully a max window of 12/24hrs depending on demand.

some times i just wanna listen to a text post instead of reading it, i might be in a game or doing something else and if it’s a long post then especially so. i thought seeing as i have an account till 2018 with soundcloud that maybe i should look about making some audio playback comments over there that i can attach to a persons post, send them the embed code and they can edit their post and drop it in at the top as well - win win right?

i’m going to be charging 5 SBD for a fairly small to medium post and 10 SBD for a large one, it’s up to you to decide what to send but please be fair, i’d say under 300 words is probably 5 SBD and 10 is above that. it’s a completely new idea and so i need to adjust the pricing with time and demand - their is also a potential of taking on more voice talent to deal with recordings if it proves popular - you can pay us in either steem or steem dollars.

to get your own blog piece translated into a voice comment all you need to do is transfer the 5 or 10 SBD to @texttosteem and the url as the memo, we will then go away and record the audio post, put it on soundcloud and then embed as a comment to your blog piece within 24 hrs. you should however get it much faster however and we aim to do it within the hour as long as we are awake! :)

we will obviously expand this over time for different nationalities but for now this is a bit of an experiment, my partner @dayleeo does a lot of voice over work for corporates and brands already on upwork (she’s crushing it there) but it just hit me that this would be a feature i’d really love to see on steemit.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE

• comment with the soundcloud embed of the voice translation of your text on your post (you can get the embed from soundcloud if you click through on the player)
• we aim to get it recorded within 24hrs (will probably be much faster)
• quality audio recorded on a decent microphone setup
