It is fantastic that so many people are joining in The Diary Game.
And it is great fun reading the posts and learning so much about so many members of the community around the world!
We must make a quick apology that we are a little behind on curating all the posts. Don’t worry though, we are diverting more resources to this and making sure every single diary post gets read and voted.
To make up for this delay we have another little surprise...
The Prizes - The Only Way is Up!
With all the massive effort so many of you are putting into The Diary Game it seems a bit mean to only give out 1000 STEEM to 8 people.
So we are increasing the total prize pool and increasing the number of prizes.
The prize pool is now 2750 STEEM in total…
- 1st place - 1000 STEEM
- 2nd place - 750 STEEM
- 3rd place - 500 STEEM
- 4th place - 250 STEEM
- 5th place - 125 STEEM
Plus five runner up prizes of 25 STEEM each.
This definitely sounds like something worth tweeting about…
If you do fancy tweeting about #thediarygame and these great new prizes, put your screenshots and Twitter links in the comments below and some nice upvotes could be heading your way!
Five Ways to Earn Points
As well as upvotes every qualifying diary post also earns points towards the final prizes.
Each post can earn up to 5 points for the content of the post and up to 5 points for the social promotion of the post.
Along with bonus point options there are now five ways you can earn points…
- Content Points (1 - 5)
Depending on the quality and content of your diary post you will earn between 1 and 5 points. - Promotion Points (0 - 5)
Depending on how well you promote your diary post on other social networks you can earn between 0 and 5 points. - Comment Points
Ad hoc bonus are given to people seen to be making a lot of good, relevant comments on other people’s diary posts. - Recruitment Points
Two points can be earnt for every person you recruit to join The Diary Game. They must make at least two eligible posts, and mention your name in both, for you to be awarded the points. - Promotion Plus Points
Earn bonus points for promoting other people’s diary posts.
Promotion Plus Points are new today.
You can earn these bonus point by promoting other people’s diary posts on your social media.
To qualify for the points you must post screenshots and links in the comments of their post BEFORE they are upvoted by @steemcurator01.
How to Enter
All you have to do to join The Diary Game is to make a diary post about your daily life.
This is your real life - not fiction, and should include as much detail as possible. And photos, ideally your own, are good too.
Make sure you…
Include the tags #the100daysofsteem and #thediarygame.
Post a link to the diary post in a comment of your own on the latest @steemitblog 100 Days of Steem post.
Include the date of your diary entry in the title of the post.
Posts can be in any language and should ideally be made on Steemit.com, or your localized interface such as WhereIN.
To qualify for points posts must be at least 100 words long.
The Diary Game runs until Day 100 (July 11th) of the 100 Days of Steem Project.
Anyone that is found to be abusing or cheating the game will be excluded from the prizes and upvotes.
The point scheme may be refined as we go along to balance the game and avoid any exploits.
We may include links to the best diary posts in our ‘Look What’s On Steem’ newsletters.
