I didn't know that I would make this little movie today, but an assortment of real-life conversations, feelings, places and ideas just kind of put themselves into my lap, and arranged themselves in a way I couldn't have planned or executed had I tried, and this is the result.
I wrote the music impromptu, in a McDonald's just outside Tokyo Station, on my iPhone's GarageBand app.
Tokyo--its people, places, smells, sights and sounds--is something like no other. For me it is a sometimes hopeful, sometimes overwhelming for its crowded vastness, but always fascinating, reflection on where we are as human beings, as a whole.
I hope you enjoy it.
