The Aletsch Glacier , the longest glacier in the Swiss Alps | Switzerland travel series #5

The Aletsch Glacier or Great Aletsch Glacier

It is the largest glacier in the western Eurasia. It has a length of about 23 km, has about a volume of 15.4 km³, and covers about 81.7 km² It is also considered as a the UNESCO World Heritage site.

After arriving to Jungfrau, we went to the Observation deck for a panoramic view of the mountain.

We passed by the sovenior shops and restaurants. Anyone fancy a Swiss watch?

We headed out to the terraces, a fenced but opening area,the Sphinx observation platform.

And finally we came out to the Plateau. It was sunny so it isn't very freezing.

There are also activities available for all ages

• Snowboarding in the Snow Fun Park and even zip lining.

By that time , I was feeling sick due to high altitude. But we had more places to explore , so we proceed to the other attractions.
