Miracle on the Volga river

Awesome and wonderful

Kalyazin is a town and the administrative center of Kalyazinsky District in Tver Oblast, Russia, located on the right bank of the Volga River, 175 kilometers (109 mi) northeast of Tver, the administrative center of the oblast.
The Flooded Belfry is a part of the flooded church and the most eye-catching landmark of Kalyazin

For the first time I saw a bell that sticks out of the water during my trip from Kostroma to Tver. It was such an amazing sight.

Behind this miracle lies the tragedy of flooded places. Many villages were flooded with water because of the construction of the reservoir. A miraculously standing bell tower is a sign of memory.

Looking at this I remember about Russian history. About people and labor exploits. O bitterness of loss and tragedy of the people.
