This is a nice little place to stop off (map below) and get some great pictures of Hat Karon Noi beach. The beach is quite small, secluded and mostly used by guests of Le Meridien Beach Resort hotel. Despite this, it is still open to the public and all are welcome to visit the beach and bask in the sun for as long as you like.

The swimming pool is a magnificent blue color, very large, but not too deep, and located right next to the beach. Sometimes the sea can be a bit rough like it was today or some people do not like salty water, so you will be more suited to the freshwater swimming pool.

After multiple security checkpoints, the hotel entrance is grand and surrounded by greenery and an assortment of coloured flowers. The grounds are very well kept by maintenance staff making it your own secluded tropical paradise.

The hotel is more than prepared for Chinese guests with important information in the Chinese language. If that is not enough hotel employees fluent in Chinese will assist you with any matter or problem as soon as possible.

The beach is stunning with white sands and turquoise water. Here, positioned in the middle of the beach, I took a picture of either side of the beach, as well as the people behind me relaxing on sunbeds provided by the hotel.

The hotel itself is extremely popular and fully booked more often than not. I advise you to book well in advance to be sure you can reserve a room for your selected dates. They offer normal double rooms but can even provide junior, deluxe or grand suites depending on your budget and requirements.

On the beach, next to the swimming pool, there is a Mongolian BBQ restaurant. In the pictures, you can see the menu of the day. I choose the half rack of BBQ ribs and it was very tasty and I could not want for more. The portions are very large but if you choose the Beach BBQ Buffet (in the picture) you can eat as much you like!

One of the hotel's restaurants, Portofino, serves European, Italian and seafood. The food is as you would expect in a five star resort and there are countless tasty treats to make you want to come back for more. You may find it difficult visiting more than two restaurants twice on your trip due to the wide variety on offer.

Tom Son, another restaurant next to the pool and beach, serves international cuisine and has something to offer everyone. They open at 09:00 and in-case you crave some snacks late in the evening and don't feel like venturing outside, then you will find Tom Son open until 01:00.

This picture is the viewpoint located a few hundred yards from the main entrance of the hotel. From this higher vantage point you can get some great pictures of the hotel down below on the beach (just visible in one picture) and the cliffs, sea and waves.

I highly recommend this resort if you prefer a more secluded environment with first class service around the clock. There are of course still many excursions and trips within your grasp if you choose to venture outside of the hotel. It is only a 5-10 minutes drive from the hotel to Patong, the main city in Phuket.
