Is there something "off" with that house?? (Original Pics)

Good evening steemians.  One of the very best things about Steemit, to me, is that it has led to revisiting all of my trips over the past few years, searching through photos for interesting things.  And I'm talking in the ballpark of 25,000+ photos.  That being said, it's getting late here and I'm bored, so I figured I'd post another before the day ends.  I found one of those "interesting things" which I kind of forgot about.

This was a sight that caught us off guard while driving through the town of Furnas on the Sao Miguel island of the Azores

^^^The hell??!

Yup. Right in the midst of the picturesque little town was a small house standing on it's roof! Right along the street with all of the other homes and buildings.  Needless to say, we pulled over to check it out.

^^^A green roof, or green foundation??

The floor joists (which were facing the sky, in this case) were full of sod and live grass.  The doors couldn't actually be opened.  "An art installation?" we asked ourselves.  It wasn't until we walked around to the back of this calamity that we figured out what it was.  There was access panels on the backside and a ton of high-voltage warning signs. Turns out it is an electrical substation.  Those Portuguese sure are crafty with their utility equipment!
