300 KM cycling trip of South Moravian wine regions of the Czech Republic - part 1

Hello friends,

I am going to post few more pictures and give you little more information from my cycling trip of South Moravian wine regions of the Czech Republic as I promised in my post yesterday (Back from my cycling trip, back to steemit!). We normally get together with my friends for an extended cycling trip usually couple of times a year. It is a great way to clear your head and physically stretch your body. The majority of the pics is from day 2 as the first day was very challenging and I had no power to take many pictures. The road on the first day was rather hilly with strong winds blowing against us which was making it really difficult. The fact it was the first day was not making it any easier as everyone was trying to show off going rather fast. I think we managed to do some 106 KM the first day but it really was challenging not only because of the cycling but also the first-night wine tasting where we drunk little too much wine. The second day was somehow easier as the route was flatter and there was no wind. Compare to a first day finishing another 104 KM felt like a break from day 1. The South Moravian region of the Czech Republic is really great for cycling trips as the sceneries are just picturesque and there are many local wine cellars on the way which gives you the opportunity to taste wines from local producers. If you are into cycling then few days spent here would definitely make your stay in the Czech Republic a real highlight and vacation to treasure forever. Enjoy few pics from the trip below and stay tuned for part 2. Have a great day and steem on.

Ready to go with some 1 1/2 hour drive. 3 of my other friends were going in another car and one was already there since he wanted to do some fishing.

There was some amazing sceneries on the way there as we were leaving in the late afternoon as we were waiting for everyone to finish work.

Like everything in life teamwork works at cycling too. Especially if there is a strong wind blowing against you it pays off to take turns and rotate who is going first to break the wind.

Cycling through the regions of South Moravia gives you a chance to encounter some picturesque villages with vineyards and some awesome views.

The few images above are from town of Mikulov. It is absolutely stunning place and my new favourite in the South Moravian region. I am definitely going back there again at some point.

Lunch break! It feels great to sit down but makes it really hard to get up when you know you have another 50KM to cycle back.

Even though South Moravia is famous for wine you do have to have a beer here and then:)....
