The Prague Loreto. This small Baroque ensemble houses a pretty cloister around the "Santa Casa" and especially a beautiful church which is one of Prague's baroque jewels, with dripping decorations of cherubs, in sweet colors, and in a very theatrical composition. There is also a collection of liturgical objects. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant.

Front view of the Straznice Chateau located in the South Moravian town of Straznice. The origin of this majestic building dates back to the 13th century when there was a water castle built on the site before it was reconstructed several times. Its current neo-Rennaisance appearance is from the 19th century. The chateau is sourrunded by beautiful English-style park and garden.

The Dancing House is a modern building on Rašín's waterfront in Prague, completed in 1996. When I built this building I totally hated it because it did not fit into the historic waterfront. After more than 20 years I have become accustomed to it and in some ways I tolerate it. But considering how many tourists take photos every day, it has become one of the tourist attractions.

Beautiful Czech countryside with a corn field in the foreground captured just outside of the village of Dolni Zivotice in the Silesian - Moravian Region of the country. The clouds looked quite menacing but eventually, they did not bring any rain - unfortunately - as our country has been struggling with drought this year.

Panorama of Cesky Krumlov in the Evening. More than many cities in Europe, the medieval character of Cesky Krumlov remains largely unchanged. Stepping into this city is a bit like moving backwards in time, crossing an invisible membrane between the present and the past. As medieval towns often did, Cesky Krumlov developed around a castle. Built in the 13th century, the castle gradually expanded into a compound, housing royalty and aristocrats.

A beautiful view from the 'Harrachova skala' (1.035 m n. m.). We were lucky to have a nice weather for the hike. The city pictured is Spindleruv Mlyn. It is a ski resort town in northern Czech Republic’s. It's set within Krkonoše National Park.

A happening place in český krumlov, Ice cream venders, music, people watching, If you are in the city you will walk through the square. Lots of lovely coloured houses, and steeped in history. Cobbled, steep streets and fantastic views. Walk up to the fort for breath taking views. Food is lovely here too. Great for a day out, sit by the river or watch the canoes coming over the weir.

The National Theatre is the Czech Republic's representative stage, built with funds from a nationwide collection and first opened in 1881, and for the second time in 1883 after a devastating fire.

On a misty morning, hot air balloons take flight over Český Krumlov. The first manned montgolfière flight took place over two hundred years ago, and now we send people into space, but I still find something magical about hot air balloons gracefully ascending. I can imagine the breathtaking view of that picturesque town from above.
