SMETANOVA VYHLÍDKA. The Smetana Lookout is located at the top of the Kletecko hill (371 m) over the Štěchovice reservoir near the village of Třebsín and the village of Zahrádky. It was built in 1974 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Bedřich Smetana's birth and consists of a concrete block with railing high above the surface of the Vltava River. From the bird's eye view we see the picturesque bend of the Štechovická dam, among the trees on the opposite bank we can imagine the cottages of the legendary settlement Ztracenka.

The walk up to the castle passes over the river where lots of people paddle down river. Even though there were lots of tourists it was easy to avoid the tour groups and there are lots of quiet spots to just sit and watch the world - or the river- go by. Try to catch a `free' walking tour to really appreciate the centre of Cesky Krumlov.

It is the place you need to see when you are in Kolin. Kolin is small city with nice main square. The historical centre of the town has many gothic and baroque buildings. Very Nice and beautiful square.

Powder Tower (Prašná brána). You can not miss it, making it an excellent landmark when you discover the city for the first time. Its dark color contrasts with the rather pastel colors of the houses and monuments that surround it. When we see it, we have no trouble realizing the impression of power and protection that it had to clear when we had to go through the time when it was still one of the city's gates.

This morning I was 300 miles away from my place of residence. I took some pictures for you and I will post them here. A little tip for traveling. The Jeseníky Mountains and the town of Jeseník, as a starting point for excursions to the surrounding mountains. Today, I'm presenting you a picture of the local town hall.

Front view of the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows (Kostel Panny Marie Sedmibolestne in the Czech language) - a majestic Baroque church that was built on the Cvilin Hill above the town of Krnov between 1722 and 1728. Next to the nearby Cvilin Lookout Tower, the church is one of the most iconic landmarks of the town.

The silhouette of Prague Castle is one of the most beautiful panoramas. The castle complex, one of the largest in the world, includes ancient palaces, places of worship, gardens and various picturesque corners. For more than a thousand years Prague Castle has been the emblem of the Czech State. Founded in the 9th century, it was the seat of the kings of Bohemia before coming that of the presidents of the Republic.

The Church of St. Nicholas in the Lesser Town impresses with its size. A dome 75 meters high with a tower is one of the symbols of Prague. In general, this is an exceptional monument to the Czech Baroque architecture. In Prague, in general, you can study the history of architecture - such a variety of styles! The internal structure of the temple is no less impressive.

Jindřišská tower
This Gothic tower is located in the city centre of Prague close to the Church of St Henry and St Kunhuta. The height is 65,7 m what makes from Jindřišská tower the highest freestanding bell tower in Prague. You can go to the tenth floor for a view if you wish, its definitely worthy.

Sunset at Charles Bridge in Prague. In the photo there are the silhouettes of two statues of saints on the bridge. If I am not mistaken these statues corresponds to St. Joseph and Francis Xavier, on the south side of the bridge. At the background there are the Baroque towers of a church on the hill.

It's one of best landmark in Czech Republic! The whole surrounding area is so nice for a cool or sunny day out. The church is beautiful both externally and internally! St. Barbara's church located in Kutna Hora is a example of breathtaking architecture. It offers a unique view from each side and is huge in size.

Author's photo. We were due weeks in Prague from 8 to 22 August. I took this photo from the Slovanský ostrov. The view from this small bridge is truly impressive. Thank you for seeing my photo!
