Located in a small town of the same name (Hradec nad Moravici) just outside the city of Opava in the Silesian region of the Czech Republic, the Hradec nad Moravici Chateau is a large chateau complex with its origins dating back to the first half of the 11th century.

Listed as a Czech National Heritage Site since 2001, the chateau consists of three separate buildings – the White Chateau, the Red Chateau and the White Tower.

Built in the classicist architectural style, the White Chateau has beautifully furnished interiors decorated with impressive artworks, while the Gothic Red Chateau features a restaurant and a big concert hall.

The concert hall hosts the Beethoven´s Hradec Classical Music Festival that is held annually in honor of Ludwig van Beethoven, the renowned German composer who spent several months at the chateau in 1806.
