Located close to the border between the Moravian and Bohemian regions of the Czech Republic, Trebic is a charming historic town that was founded in the 13th century.
Currently home to some 40,000 people, Trebic is famous for impressive architecture and there are many well-known tourist sites in the historic center of the town. The Jewish Quarter and the St. Procopius Basilica are TrebicĀ“s most famous and visited tourists attractions, both of which are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Other interesting places that you should not miss when visiting Trebic are the Trebic Castle, the Old Jewish Cemetery, the Capuchin Monastery or the Trebic Museum where you can learn more about the rich history and culture of the town.

Once you get enough of the beautiful architecture of the town, you can head out to explore the local hilly countryside. Trebic is located in one of the cleanest areas of the country and its surroundings is covered with a dense network of hiking trails and bike lanes, offering a great opportunity to see the beauties of the local nature.
