One of the small towns that is located in the Moravian region of the Czech Republic is Litomysl. The main feature of the city is the unique Renaissance chateau which has been included on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage since 1999 as well as the historical center full of colorful town houses, one of the oldest chateau theatres in Europe and the birthplace of the Czech composer Bedrich Smetana. It is for this famous composer that the cultural significance of Litomysl surpasses the borders of the Czech Republic.
