Beach House Review
I stayed in this beach house by myself for 2 weeks during April. This place is down a beachside road, and then off a small dirt path. I drove it fine in a Ford Mustang/Hyundai Elantra. Once I finally arrived to seclusion, I found the host Johanny working out in the blazing heat to get the place looking perfect for me. She was very hospitable and even gave me a hug. She gave me keys and simple instructions about the grounds. Nothing difficult. It is gated all around with plenty of amenities.
She didn’t bother me ever, but was always available through text if I needed her. She even stayed outside for 2 hours one night with her daughter, after working all day, just to get the generator running for me the only night the power went out. It was at this point I knew she really was a special human being.
Then the house itself was great too. Just as pictured. Except even better! This would be ideal for a group, plenty of space to entertain. It was massive for me, being solo. I loved feeling like I was really off the beaten path with complete privacy, totally escaping reality. All of this, and still close to a lot of great things. About a 15 minute scenic drive and there are several wonderful restaurants, and Portal del Yunque. 30-45 minutes to a bioluminescent bay Fajardo, even San Juan is less than an hour away. Just driving around this island in itself is a joy, due to the constant beauty all around.
I highly recommend you stay at this place if you visit Puerto Rico. Especially if the busy-ness of San Juan is not for you. I have zero complaints, and infinite thanks. You will find adventure and beauty here with Johanny. Who knows what else awaits you.
