TALES FROM VICTORIA- MELBOURNE CITY

THE CITY

A trip to Victoria, Australia would most definitely not be complete if you don't see Melbourne City. Most popularly known for sports events such as Australia Open and Melbourne Cup, this city is one to beat in terms of the cultural diversity.

  • STREET ART

An international hub for street art, Melbourne recognizes its contribution to an inspired and vibrant culture. We have had the pleasure to add some colours (yep, I did spell it with a 'u') on the wall!

Other than the wall arts, expect to see a display of creativity in the streets of Melbourne. Dancers, singers, magicians and many other performers makes the city their center-stage. It is a common sight to see a number f people gathering around, watching a free show. of course you are encouraged to donate an amount you feel the artist deserved, as some would actually makes a living out of providing entertainment to the locals and tourists,

  • SHOPS

A visit in Melbourne will give you access to hundreds of different shops. If you are into gadgets, clothes, accessories, books, art and food, your have unlimited options to choose from! Being a cultural melting pot, objects and cuisines from all over the world can be found here. A visit to popular Australian-brand apparel such as Billabong, Roxy and Quicksilver shops is a must. Pity I didn't take as many photos, the hustle and bustle of the city engulfed me!

Australian dairy, and chocolates, are one of the best in the world, so did not pass up the opportunity to visit a Lindt shop and had a hot chocolate drink!

Tiffany. We ladies simply love the sight of a certain blue box. I may not have left with a box myself, but the sight of the precious jewels was more than enough. For now.

Tried our luck in Crown Plaza casino, this was actually a first for me, and so imagine my joy when I left the slot machine $10 richer!

And of course, we went to Victoria Market to purchase souvenirs to bring home. Very low prices on shirts, jackets, keychains, ref magnets and many other knick-knacks you can give away as gifts to your friends and family back home.

I urge you to add this in your travel bucket-list, for a Melbourne trip will definitely not disappoint. Given the opportunity, I would go back to this vibrant city.
